‘Sunshine Barry & The Disco Worms’

May 4, 2009 Singapore – KRU STUDIOS is proud to present its international anime motion picture distribution entitled “Sunshine Barry & The Disco Worms” in short, “Disco Worms”, which will be in cinemas in Singapore on 21st May 2009.

According to Norman Abdul Halim, President & Group CEO of KRU Studios, “Disco Worms is funny with catchy well-known tunes that appeal to the whole family. Its entertainment value that cuts across age barriers and races was one of the many reasons why Disco Worms was chosen as our first international motion picture distribution. The movie will also have both Malay and Mandarin subtitles.”

Fuelled by disco music's infectious energy, “Sunshine Barry & the Disco Worms” is a toe-tapping animated tale about a young worm pursuing a dream to entertain the insect world through the power of the boogie!

It’s not easy being Barry, a young earthworm who is fed up with being at the bottom of the food chain. All the other insects in the backyard consider earthworms to be major losers and his only future prospect is a boring “career” as a mid-level manager in the compost-making industry! If Barry could have just one wish, it would be that he’d never been born a worm!

But his world is turned upside down when he stumbles upon an old disco record and The Boogie enters his bloodstream. His body starts swaying and his feet start tapping, he's just gotta dance! Could this be the key to a more exciting life?

Together with Gloria on vocals, Tito on bass, Donna on drums and Jimmy as the guitarist, he forms the band – “Sunshine Barry & The Disco Worms” to enter a Song Contest, which is to be broadcast live to the whole backyard. But Barry has forgotten one minor detail - “Worms can't boogie!”

Will Barry manage to worm the boogie into the insect-audience? Come join KRU Studios in Disco Worms with familiar songs such as “Blame It On The Boogie”, “I Will Survive”, “Play That Funky Music” and many more.

Note: KRU STUDIOS will be releasing the following movies in the remainder of 2009, namely “Jin Notti”, “My Spy”, “Deadline” (produced by KRU STUDIOS in Hollywood), “Planet 51”.For more information, please visit www.krustudios.com
